In the 21st century, changes in technology have revolutionised the world of traditional book publishing and selling. Computers, e-readers, tablets, smart phones and the internet have also changed the way that writers can publish, market and sell their work.

But there's a knack to self-publishing and distributing your book. I have spent the last few years learning the knack by testing and trialing various options and now offer workshops in which I pass on this know-how. 

GROUP WORKSHOPS
I offer the following two group workshops as stand-alone workshops or in combination.

WORKSHOP 1: SELF PUBLISHING

• In this workshop I demystify, explain and demonstrate the new technologies using as little jargon as possible. 
  
• This workshop will help you to: 
  
• Understand the differences between traditional and non-traditional publishing.
  
• Explore the various ways you can publish your work using non-traditional methods.  
  
• Understand how to use on-line publishers like Amazon or Smashwords to distribute your work.
  
• Understand the challenges and potential of each self-publishing method
  
• Identify which publishing options will suit you and your book the best.
  
• Think like an author/entrepreneur in order to give your book the best chance of succeeding.
  
• Promote and sell your work online using your own author website as a platform.

• Basics of quality book production.
  
• Author branding and marketing.

• Media kit preparation.
  
• Promotional features of on-line book distributors/promoters.

I am also available for one-on-one coaching or tutoring. This gives you the opportunity to focuse solely on your own writing or publishing project. Whatever stage you’re at, I can assist with advice and support on what you need to do to progress your project and how to do it - step by step.
