An online book club I belong to (#RRBC) challenged its members to enter the Alpha-Omega writing challenge and produce from scratch as many short stories as they could within 3 months. All entries had to be available on Amazon by the 2nd July (I made the deadline by 10 hours - phew!).
I used this exercise to experiment with some new genres under my pen name Wendy Jayne.
Tequila Rose Virginity Blues is set in my home town of Hokitika, New Zealand.

Tequila Rose may have met the man of her dreams. Unfortunately, she wakes up suffering from alcoholic amnesia and doesn’t remember anything about the night before. Tall, dark, and Jack may be the cure her jaded heart desperately needs, but Tequila’s wary as friends warn her that Jack hangs out with the local drug dealer. Thrust together at a Speed Dating event, their chemistry sizzles, but is Jack after a different kind of fix?
